With every new Apple product released, thousands of Mac-Heads, or hardcore enthusiasts of all things Apple, race out and get it. When Apple released its slogan “Think Different” in the 1970s, it was calling for buyers to leave PC and buy Apple, and since then, millions have. Die-hard Mac-Heads must have the latest product from Apple, and even if the device is overpriced, offers very little, and is just a little upgrade with quicker speeds, a Mac-Head wants it. Throughout the years, three products designed by Apple can be said to have changed the image of the company.
iMac
When Apple wanted to remake its popular computer line, it gave the device a new name and appearance and managed to transform the way people looked at Macs. The iMac was slimmer and quicker, and had all of the essentials packed into the screen for more convenient storage that did not require a tower like traditional PC computers. The iMac did something no other computer had attempted before: include new color schemes in a line of computers, making them more enticing to the average consumer. The iMac helped Apple spring up as a contender in the computer industry dominated by PCs, and with its new color schemes and user-friendly interface, people loved the iMac.
iPod
When the iPod released in the early 2000s, the little white electronic with a minimalist design got the attention of millions of consumers and swayed even the most hardcore PC fans to cross over to Apple. To continue with the tradition, Apple manages to redesign its popular item every few years, presenting new colors, features and iPod cases for shoppers to drool over. While the electronic is reinvented every few years, Apple has managed to keep the product as one of its flagship devices that continues to attract customers’ attention each year.
iPhone
Before there ever existed an original iPhone, the MOTOROKR was its predecessor, but it was designed by Motorola and was packed with Apple software. The marriage between Motorola and Apple was short, and Apple ran off to create its own phone. The phone was welcomed with open arms and helped launch Apple into the spotlight once again and even helped catapult AT&T, the first iPhone exclusive company, into a media frenzy as well. The design of the original iPhone would find its way to the new iPod, setting the way for touch-screen-based MP3 electronics. A new iPod meant new iPod Touch case companies would also appear to sell both iPhone and iTouch products, making Apple the primary item for buyers.
